Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Northmark (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Northmark is a personal budgeting tool that helps you understand your accounts, spending, and plans. The Service is currently offered as an invite-only beta and may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: using it for unlawful purposes; attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours; probing, scanning, or breaching security or authentication measures; or disrupting the Service.

4. Financial data and Plaid

When you link a financial institution, you authorize Northmark to access your financial data through Plaid. The Service provides informational budgeting tools only and is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always verify important figures with your financial institution.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data shown will always be accurate — particularly during beta.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Northmark will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.

8. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms. We will post material changes here and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
